Biography

Joining a legacy of preachers well known for their prophetic calling, Dr. Prince A. Miles answered the call to ministry in 1975. His father, the late Apostle Charles O. Miles, officially ordained him in 1977, and he went on to receive formal training from William Tyndale College and the United Bible College and Seminary, where he earned a doctorate of divinity degree.

A second generation preacher, Dr. Prince A. Miles was consecrated as God’s young apostle and has upheld the integrity of the Miles name serving as pastor of The Community Gospel Tabernacle Church in Harrow Ontario, Canada from 1987 to 1990 and currently as founding pastor and Apostle of the International Gospel Deliverance Church in Southfield, Michigan.

His purpose and mission to reach the world for Christ extends beyond the United States. Dr. Miles conducts life-changing crusades and revivals in Africa, India, Israel, Egypt, Trinidad and Haiti. In recognition of his hard work, dedication, perseverance and leadership abilities, Dr. Miles is featured in the 2006 Inaugural Edition of Who’s Who in Black Detroit and is a lifetime member of the Global Directory of Who’s Who.

When God prophetically told Dr. Miles that there would be a major death in his family he never imagined it would be his firstborn – the son who bore his name and would pass that name and legacy on to his progeny. Just 30 days later, that prophecy came to pass; drinking and driving the deadly culprits. Until then, Dr. Miles and his family had never known tragedy so up close and personal, but they had been well acquainted with God’s voice. It is their individual and collective faith that strengthens them in their loss.

Since their son’s death, Dr. Miles and wife Monica have heralded the cause of Mother’s Against Drunk Driving (MADD). As the MADD chaplain for Wayne and Oakland counties, Dr. Miles supports victims of crimes related to drunk driving. As a member of the executive board of the National Clergy Council for MADD in Washington, D.C., his voice helps affect change on a national level.

He was Our Prince: Faith Tested, Tried and Testified is Dr. Miles’ tribute to his son, the late Prince Anthony Miles II. It gives voice to the pain of how drinking and driving impacts the lives of a father, a family and a community.

Dr. Miles, his wife Monica and their two adult children, Matthew Leslie and Joseph Emmanuel reside in Southfield, Michigan.
